Qm-Live: Ottavoo Richter, Delta Moon and Sakeena Win the Crowd, Saturday, February 18

It was a long musical marathon on Saturday night at the theater PG Frassati Valtellino of Cosio. It was the season 2005/2006 Magic Square, which proposed a concert so long and detailed. Great work for all staff at every level, rewarded by the skill of the artists and an attentive and involved audience....

DELTA MOON

A quick change of set and atmosphere, with the rural swamp blues of Delta Moon, a band formed of Mark Johnson on Fender Telecaster, Tom Gray on Moog Lap Steel, Franher Joseph on Eminence electric upright bass and Marlon Patton on drums. Since 2002 the quartet has produced six albums in the decade and in the allotted time showed a diverse repertoire, from the initial song "Tilt a Whirl" to "Hellbound Train”, the title of their latest work from 2010. Striking about the group from Atlanta was the compactness of the sound and the very strong blend. Songs like "You Gotta Move" and "Goin' Down South" are examples of their musical background with references to Sonny Landreth, the undisputed master of the genre, and David Lindley, a great connoisseur of traditional American roots. The encore granted without hesitation was a roaring "Let Tomorrow Be", with which, even in the absence of the scratchy voice of Kristin Markiton, as on the album "Howlin’” in 2005, the four from Georgia worthily took leave of the large audience.
